Customer Support

The levels of support available vary depending on the contract entered into, but will include some or all of the following features:

Help Desk: phone support during normal business hours, and/or paged support on a 24-hour, 7-day basis.

Problem Resolution:TelSoft can assume full responsibility for any problems that crop up and coordinate resolutions regardless of source in a multi-vendor environment.

Outsourcing System Administration: TelSoft can provide remote system administration for the UNIX operating system and/or for MegaWare software.

Outsourcing Operations Services: TelSoft staff can run any aspect of operations on a contract basis, ranging from data entry through billing runs.

Remote System Monitoring: TelSoft software has a health check system option that sends real-time alarms and daily "I-am-alive" messages to the support center where the systems are monitored and pro-active problem resolution is provided.


Administrative Analysis

TelSoft provides a complete administrative analysis of an organization's telephony procedures and methods in relation to the business model currently in use, and then recommends how to improve the existing scene toward increased productivity and reduced expenses.


Software Development

In the event of custom software development or customization of an existing product, TelSoft provides full life cycle project management, or management of any phase of the software development life cycle, including:

  • Technical Requirements based on the business requirements as described above. TelSoft provides a complete analysis of technical requirements, including preliminary, general, and detailed analysis.
  • User Interface Software Design
  • Internal Software Design
  • Coding and Testing
  • Documentation
  • Implementation
  • Quality Control to monitor and guarantee performance at each step of the life cycle
  • Successful retirement of the pre-existing system.


Implementation Planning and Management

Software implementation requires a precise strategy and coordination of effort. TelSoft provides the following implementation services for its software, whether "off-the-shelf" or custom:

System Requirements - evaluation and understanding of the system to ensure that all hardware and software components necessary have been fully identified prior to installation.

Pre-Installation - assembly of the specific operational, organizational and telephony data necessary to determine how best to install the system.

Staging - the configuration and integration of all hardware and software components that make up the system to verify it is complete and operational in laboratory conditions. This is normally done off-site in preparation for installation at the client's location.

On-Site Installation - the system is physically re-assembled and installed at the client's location.

Pre-Setup Consulting - this step includes consensus sessions run by the TelSoft consultant with a client's telecommunications and accounting personnel to determine optimum system use. It encompasses a review of the various written and unwritten business methods and procedures for the different system users, addresses what the new system can do, and results in a clear consensus on how the system will be configured. Any data entry and/or conversion is also planned at this stage, and the initial users are oriented to the system. (Additional user training offered is described in the Training Service Data Sheet.)

System Setup - implementation of the documented consensus established during the pre-setup consulting phase.

Quality Assurance - the system is given a final check by TelSoft quality assurance personnel prior to turnover to TelSoft support personnel.


Telephony Analysis and Needs Assessment

TelSoft provides technical analysis and evaluation of the current telephony configuration (trunks, carriers, bills, etc.) and proposes a technical solution to meet current and future needs toward efficient optimization of resources. Depending on the outcome of the above analyses, TelSoft may recommend:

  • New business methods and procedures
  • Equipment enhancements, and/or
  • Software purchases, development and/or customization.
